The Art of Frank, Inc. has signed Leah Gahagan to author the new Regenesys series, a comic book adaptation prequel to Franklyn Espinoza’s 2005 illustrated series Apocalon. Regenesys will consist of four books total, the first of which is scheduled for release at the San Diego Comic-Con in summer, 2012 with a teaser launch of the story debuting at the New York Comic-Con in October, 2011.
Gahagan, a New York City resident, is originally from San Jose, CA, (by way of Las Vegas, NV), has been an active blogger for many years and is currently pursuing her MFA degree in creative writing from New School University. In Addition to Regenesys, she is working on a book of her collected essays scheduled for early 2013 completion.
“I was quite thrilled, and equally flattered when [The Art of] Frank approached me to collaborate on Regenesys. I absolutely love the story concept and characters, and I am honored to be teamed with such a talented illustrator. We are very excited to introduce this series and hope it’s as well received and loved by the fans as it is by us,” says Gahagan.
The Art of Frank, CEO, Frank Espinoza adds, “we are very proud and excited to have Leah join our team! Her sharp wit and powerful storytelling prowess will help bring our dark Regenesys title to life!”
